Called VFS few time and they have a standard answer every time its under processing. its been 3 months and still under processing.

That sounds frustrating. Have you tried visiting CGI Sydney and asking them whats up?

I didn’t visit cgi Sydney but sent multiple email but no help as its 4 months today since i applied

After waiting for 4 months for a simple oci application Finally i can say CGI Sydney is a ghost planet where you can send email, calls but in return just complete silence

You can visit the CGI and get the latest status and also request for expedited processing

Is it still that long 4-5 months process from Sydney consulate ?

Applied for OCI miscellaneous service on 02/07/25 at VFS Adelaide as i changed my name.
got an email today saying your application has received by cgi sydney and on OCI website applied date has also changed to 04/07/25 from 01/07/25.
just wondering is this acknowledged date as oci as a new website

I applied for my oci application by post on 13/08/2025 to Sydney vfs, still waiting for acknowledgement email. Anybody else waiting from August or knows how long acknowledgement could take? Thanks in advance.
