HK, I have mention cats and yes dogs in much earlier posts and seems to me the noisy dogs are neglected and locked in a 4ft x 6 ft steel cage at night and can bark incessantly, stick your cat in a smaller cage and see what you get. Animals are not to be put aside and neglected for simple convenience for selfish whims, any different to the wildlife trying to live an existence? HK, where I live we have no noise or minimal from dogs and cats, roosters and as said honestly the cats bonking in the middle of the night were the worst, our Labs put an end to their extra activities, I'm sure they moved elsewhere. This is OMO but cats really have no love for you and simply opportunists while I feel that if I had a heart attack and collapsed outside dead our 2 dogs would lay with me and no idea if they would eat me eventually but would stay by me,,,,, the cat will quickly find another another home and continue to decimate the wildlife.

Cheers,Steve.

No mention of cats here -

2. Types of Neighbor Disputes Covered
Many common neighbor disputes are required to undergo barangay conciliation first. Examples include:
  1. Noise or Nuisances: Loud parties, incessant barking of dogs, smoke, foul odors, or any activities considered nuisances under local ordinances.

Cats and dogs are great, but both have their downsides and, for me, the downside with dogs is greater than for cats.

Again, each to their own.
Great point

Agreed...cats are way too clever to hang around knowing their next meal is elsewhere!

Update on the Rabies shots, my two grandkids received their second round on Friday (one is finished) and the clinic wouldn't give me proactive rabies shots unless my granddaughter that bit me came down with symptoms in two weeks, my forearm it appears was only bruised because the nurse did look at the bite area.

There was a complaint in our neighborhood a couple of years ago for too many dogs, and ? I don't know who showed up, but they did pick up the dogs, not all of them though, the Municipality I would think does this, and they also take care of bug infestations and rescue. And then this won't work for cats because they are so quick and the cats in our area are not pets, so even harder.

My wife and son took our two grandkids to the rabies clinic, but only one now, my granddaughter requires shots, her next and last (4th shot will be 28 days from today), and everything went well, my wife said the place was swamped with people waiting to get rabies shots from cat scratches "all".

If you do require a rabies shot, the nurse will fill out your name, address and where the injury is, and then you're given a small card with the dates to show up for your series of shots.

I was more talking about getting a rabies shot proactively rather than reactively - I wasn't aware this will available as an option.
It has been available for a few years HK, in my last job I was required to be available to travel anywhere in the world at short notice so my employers occupational health department had me vaccinated against most things including rabies.

Just dug out my old vaccination certificates and sure enough amongst them is 'pre-exposure rabies' consisted of 2 shots 3 weeks apart then a booster 2 years later, after that I think they decided that this gave lifetime protection. This was late 90's early 2000's.

I suspect I would benefit from a further booster if I was bitten now.

We have our land fairly secure but a couple of cats keep getting in, including 1 with kittens, trapped them, vaccinated them and going to TNR (trap neuter release) them when they are old enough, momma cat is going to be spayed very soon now. Wife's own dogs are vaccinated.

Yep...as I said in a previous post available to those in certain high risk occupations and situations such as yours. For Joe Bloggs who just wants to protect themselves - not so easily obtained.

I have no idea - maybe to avoid long-term immunity as has happened with some antibiotics due to being over prescribed. Also, at least here, I'm not sure of the supply chain as the vaccine is not always available in public facilities.
Could be and supply chain is an issue. I heard a few weeks some of the new independent rabies clinic I see springing up everywhere were found to be using vaccines from China that were not DOH approved.
