I apologise for asking any seemingly stupid questions, but I'm still getting my head around this whole CR-1 process! I sent off my I-130 petition for my husband to the US Embassy in London last Thursday, and today I received the email confirming that it has been filed with them and to expect a processing time of 30-45 days.
I'd like to go ahead and start getting any other documentation we'll need put together, so we can send everything off once we receive our Notice of Approval. I'm pretty sure I understand everything we'll need except for the financial documentation. My parents are acting as joint sponsors (don't have a choice, really, since I live in the UK now, and they're more than happy to do so), and they make far more than 125% above the poverty line for a household of 4 (counting them, me and my husband). I have also filed tax returns every year since I left the US as well.
So, my main question is how many years of tax returns are required and will we need to supply W-2s or any other documentation? My parents own their own business, so there's no formal employment contract, etc.
