US State Department Alert "Demonstrations"

State Department alert below. Most of already know that if we get caught up in a demonstration we WILL be incarcerated for who knows how long, could be years, fined heavy count on losing your nest egg if you want to be released within 6 months, blacklisted and then deported.

I've seen several Dumaguete vlogs exposing what's going on and "You Guys" for sure are playing with fire, get ready because you're okay untill your not, example when you know you're not okay, PNP shows up or at an event and asks you respectfully to come with them to the police station.

I feel I've done my best to warn fellow Expats of the many dangerous situations we can end up in and incarceration in a Philippine jail is very unsanitary lacking food and medications you pay so a deadly event for a minor issue.

Demonstration Alert - Protests Expected Throughout the Philippines



Media reports indicate widespread protests in response to alleged government corruption may occur in various locations nationwide on September 12, 2025. Protest activity may continue in the coming days.



Locations include, but may not be limited to:

National Shrine of Mary, Queen of Peace - EDSA Shrine and along EDSA Ortigas Area, Quezon City
South Gate of the House of Representatives, Quezon City
Mendiola Peace Arch, Manila
Chino Roces Bridge, Makati
North and South Forbes Park and Dasmarinas Village, Makati
Metropolitan Cathedral of San Fernando, San Fernando
Barry's Place, Legazpi City, Philippines
Other locations throughout Metro Manila and nationwide


Actions to Take:

Avoid rallies and demonstrations whenever possible. Follow local media and government sources for updates on possible disruptions due to protest activity.
Exercise caution when in the vicinity of any large gatherings, as even peaceful demonstrations have the potential to turn violent without warning. Follow instructions from local authorities.
