Traveling to Ireland with residence card

Hi everyone, I have a question hope someone can help me, I am a Romanian citizen married with my husband(non Eu citizen)living in Romania together so we want to move Ireland can my husband travel with me with his Romanian residence permit ?or he must have to apply for visa before he travel to Ireland with me , thanks in advance

If your husband is a visa national for Ireland (and if he is from Pakistan, he is), and he doesn't hold Article 10 residence card (which he does not because his residence card was issued under the domestic Romanian law, not under the EEA regulations because you are a Romanian), then he requires a short-stay C visa from the Irish embassy.

Once you enter Ireland together and you start exercising EU treaty right by getting a job, for example, he can apply for residence card on form EU1, valid 5 years with the right to work.
