I'm a Malaysian and married to a French while I was holding a visa visiteur.

In the process of renewing my titre de sejour and I had an appointment with Prefecture in Bourg-en-bresse last monday. The lady gave me "Récépissé de demande de carte de séjour" and on the paper it stated : Il autorise son titulaire a travailler.

I believe it means I can legally work in France now.

The question is me and my husband is staying in Ferney-voltaire while he is working in Switzerland. My mom-in-law keep asking me to work in Geneva airport for the use of my language as I can speak English, Chinese and a little French.

I started to look for job in Switzerland but there's : you must have the right to work in Switzerland. So, do I?? Can I do as french to obtain a permis frontalier?

Thank you.

Your husband has the right to work in Switzerland, but you don't. The carte de séjour only gives you work rights in France, not in other countries within the EU or Schengen.

If you can find a job in Switzerland, it's your Swiss employer who will have to arrange for work authorization.
Cheers,
