Salary increase before ILR - employer letter

We are using my wife's financials for my ILR(set M) because I am freelance and she has had a regular job with the same employer.

She earned £48k prior to Dec 2018 and £55k after. In the ILR we were going to state that she earned 'Not the same amount continuously, above the financial requirement amount' instead of 'same amount continuously...'

Her employer will only put her current income in the financial reference and will not reference old salaries. They are happy to reference that she earns '£55k as of Dec 2018' and will happily sign 6 months of payslips.

Will this be an issue for UKBA? We could just exclude the date of salary in the letter? We can include a copy of her previous eP60 but this is not signed/certified.

"the same amount continuously" is terrible wording but it's only used to differentiate between category A and B.

The options are:

1. The same amount continuously, above the financial requirement amount
2. The same amount continuously, below the financial requirement amount
3. Not the same amount continuously, above the financial requirement amount
4. Not the same amount continuously, below the financial requirement amount

It's a very misleading question but the answer is 1 if you're able to meet the salary requirement through Category A.

1 and 2 are Category A (6+ months with the same employer)

3 and 4 are Category B (Less than 6 months with the same employer, or variable income - "variable" doesn't mean "variable amounts on each payslip", it means "not paid on a regular frequency" like freelance or incidental work)

2 and 4 are to indicate that you will be supplementing your income with other non-employment income or cash savings since you don't meet the requirement through employment income alone

I second this,

I am paid an hourly rate and my pay varied (not exactly the same as your example - but similar as some months will be higher then others ie. not earning the same)

I chose option one (clever-octopus helped me at the time) and my wife's ILR was granted.

Regarding your P60 - i included mine - even though it was dated April 2018 (they only need 6 months of payslips (Aug '18 to Jan '19)) and my P60 was a print out in black & white

Thank you. Should she ask her employer to omit the date the new salary became effective to avoid confusion? Regardless her P60 will show £48k as her salary and her employer letter will say £55k

Also, if we are using her financials/bank statements, do we still need to submit any of my bank statements as the applicant? I have assumed not except to prove address and thats it.
