I don't think you can track these events, they happen outside the system and as such they don't affect anyone's KPIs at DHA
a. Induction
b. Signing of allegiance
c. Issue of certificate
Thanks KGM. I was asking whether you are just waiting for them to call you and tell you your certificate is ready or you call a certain number to check or you go to office of application to check.

But how or where do you check if you certificate is printed?
They were lucky; the person who conducted the induction told us that if all had gone well, we would get our certificates at that meeting, but unfortunately, due to programming issues, she did not have them with her or something like that. So one of the guys challenged her on it, and she called one of the front desk ladies and gave her all our ID numbers to check if the certificates were ready as they would show on the system. Those few guys were lucky as they were told that their certificates were printed and at some branch PTA ready for collection. The rest of us were told to check in 2 weeks, and it has been two years of checking. I left that meeting thinking I was at most a month from getting the certificates, and I'm slowly losing hope.

Damn.

Unfortunately, this issue can't be resolved by diplomatic or biblical means. That minister declared that he will never sign any citizenship certificate as long as he breathe. The only language he understands is court order. Lets make a group court application to force this xenophobic guy to issue out the certificates. We can get a good lawyer for less than R100 000. A group of 20 would pay 5000 each. Therefore the more we are , the less we pay .

If I had finished induction, I would take the opportunity and contribute to this wonderful cause. It's a good idea.

Since he took over the home affairs dept, not a single person has legally received a certificate through the front door. It shows that his mandate was to unconstitutionally block people from attain citizenship. This xenophobic guy is full of hate especially Africans. Look at his history in different portfolios.
1. He stopped the employment of foreign teachers when he was still the MEC for Education in Limpopo province.
2. He is the very same minister of health who commanded that foreigners pay consultation fees in all public health centres which is against the Health Act.
3. Now he cancels ZEP, LSP and naturalisation of PR holders.
I don't think anything other than a court order will make this xenophobic guy clean his acts.

READ THE ARTICLE BELOW BY ONE OF THE RENOWNED IMMIGRATION ADVOCATE. This will explain why the petition route will never work.

the needs and rights of those affected by immigration decisions.

But, perhaps most importantly, we need a paradigm shift in how we view immigration. It’s not just about processing paperwork or enforcing regulations; it’s about recognising the humanity and dignity of every individual who seeks to call our country home. Immigration is not a threat to be managed or a problem to be solved; it’s an opportunity to enrich our society, to build bridges across cultures, and to create a more prosperous and inclusive nation for all.

Should the minister fail to fulfil these critical steps and should he neglect to establish an immigration advisory board comprising individuals with the requisite expertise, including representation from stakeholders such as ourselves, then we must draw a line. We cannot continue to beseech him to recognise the gravity of his role and responsibilities.

We cannot continue to tolerate this level of incompetence and disregard for the law. We call upon the president to intervene, to enact a much-needed shuffle within the department of home affairs leadership. We demand competence, integrity and a genuine commitment to upholding the principles of justice and fairness.

The crisis at home affairs is not just a legal or administrative issue; it’s a moral imperative. We cannot turn a blind eye to the suffering and injustice inflicted upon countless individuals and families. We cannot allow incompetence and indifference to define our immigration system. We must demand better, and we must hold our leaders accountable for delivering it.

We cannot afford to let the department continue its downward spiral unchecked. Let us stand united in demanding accountability, transparency and justice for all those affected by its failings. Our immigration system is at crossroads, and the path we choose will shape the future of our nation. Let us choose wisely.

Read the articles below which explains why the petition route will never work. The guy is just arrogant and xenophobic. Let us not look for pity from a person who is full hate towards fellow African people. The xenophobic guy has proved over time that he hates foreign nationals especially fellow Africans in particular Zimbabweans. Either we take him to court just like what others are doing or we just wait and pray that he won't be re appointed as minister since he sitting on position 53 on the ANC candidate list for May 29 elections.
