I would like to thank everyone for your prayers. The xenophobic minister is sitting on number 53 on the 2024 ANC Candidate List. This means his chance of being reappointed as the minister is very, very slim. Let's keep on praying guys. This minister is just being arrogant and selfish.

As far as I know minister Aaron is not interested in signing those certificates. He declared that as long as he is the minister of home affairs, he will never induct a foreigner to be a South African. And for sure since 2018 no one has been legally naturalised in South Africa.

Did he really say that? Then a court of law needs to compel him to sign.

Sooo wrong, we have all been living here for so many years and most of us are pretty darn settled and still choosing RSA as our home ....

Hi, yes I did apply through VFS Johannesburg. I submitted in August 2023 and nothing still. I have sent an email and called severally but nothing positive yet. 🥲💔
When I applied they informed it it can take up to 12 months for this

Just a quick update on naturalisation certificates. Currently Home Affairs, just busy with 2019 applications for final approval and hand over their certificates. Did anyone receive the certificate yet?
I applied at the beginning of 2019 and am still waiting to hear something. I did my induction in June 2022. when we did the induction in the room, I had a lot of people who had applied from 2009, a few in 2012, and all the way to 2018. In fact, there were only 3 of us in a room of about 30 people who had applied in 2019. The rest had all but given up and were surprised to get phone calls for induction. Two guys who had applied in 2017 received their certificates after that induction, as their certificates had been ready for a while somewhere in PTA. However, I'm still keeping my fingers crossed that one day, we will all get our certificates.

But how or where do you check if you certificate is printed?
