Hello
I am working on my retirement visa with an agency called ISSA. I have sent them financial proof of my accounts but I redacted my acount numbers. They are now asking for unredacted copies. I am a little hesitant to send out my bank account info with everything on it. Is this normal practice?
Thank you
Marc

Yes, but I can understand your hesitation.
To circumvent this, if it’s an homeland account you are worried about, do a long term stay and establish a Thai account instead.
You can transfer funds to it and thus when the LT visa expires use those funds as proof.
BTW, they must be in the account for 90 days, if memory serves. They are geared for this sort of thing providing secured proof.
In fact, unlike US banks where you just dl an app for bank access, your cellphone provider must tie your unique phone’s MEID to the app for access. This way no one but your phone and personal PIN can access it.
There's good and bad with this, but they take personal information seriously here.
