Is Passport Number Required for Spouse if not applying as off now

Hi there,
I have got the invitation and want to apply for visa but my wife's passport is not yet issued due to some delay in documents required in processing passport application (may take longer to issue her passport). I am planning to migrate her after I settle everything. Can I add the details after I lodge my visa application?

Are you asking if you can add your wife as dependent now and while the visa is applied, you will arrange for her passport? If yes, then you are correct. We dont need spouse passport number while applying for EOI.

But if you plan to apply your PR visa alone without adding your wife as dependent now, then you may end up paying a lot more VISA fee. Adding to that, the processing time frame for your spouse visa will take a much longer time compared to applying together.

As I mentioned earlier I have got my Invitation and waiting for my spouse's passport. So I just wanted to know that if my wife's passport is not available can I lodge my Visa application without her passport details?
