Incompetent or something else... Ballots/printers?

Arizona is still counting votes/ballots and we're three days beyond election day. It doesn't seem feasible or above board to be still counting votes (how many are needed to win?and where are the magic drop boxes) when talent shows such as American Idol seemingly tabulate votes for contestants in an hour. Just a casual observation.

I was in country for the presidential election for the Philippines and I went through numerous COMELEC checkpoints and watched as armed transports carried the cast ballots back to be counted. Photo ID required (not in California for instance) and finger dipped in purple dye (no where is that done in Murica). I was smiling watching the Philippine process.

Katie Hobbs administered the election in Arizona and was a candidate for governor at the same time and the AG of Pennsylvania instructed the election managers to violate the Republican written law by allowing ballots that weren't dated as required. I'm sick of this crap. He said, she said. Another reason to leave and move to the Philippines. It will be the same there, my voice won't matter.

Maybe the democrats need a few weeks to print ballots on their computer printer.

Election night, they see how many ballots they lost by. Then create enough fake mail in ballots.

In the 2020 election, a Pennsylvania county counted more ballots than their total population.

In the USA anything can be accomplished

Yeah, and the sky is green and the sea is purple. :D

The GOP just keeps coming out with bigger and bigger lies, and the deplorable just swallow it without turning on either of their brain cells.

One of the GOP’s most successful political consultants of recent decades issued that judgment in a confessional 2020 memoir. Stuart Stevens titled his book: “It Was All a Lie.”

At times I believe in my heart that all of this is smoke and mirrors used to divide and separate folks while the power brokers and politicians continue to profit. Stacey Abrams, the perpetual Candidate for governor of Georgia (she just lost again) lives the.life of Cleopatra. She heads up "fake" non profits and runs for election seemingly non stop so she can live off the campaign coffers constantly refreshed by donors. She doesn't miss any meals for sure. Great work if you can keep up the charade long enough to profit and then build your wealth and retire without ever working.

There were lawyers in Arizona observing different polling stations because they knew there was going to be some impropriety and they were correct. Maricopa County and Katie Hobbgoblin had an manual compiled two years ago and had ample opportunity to test the machines but they knew they were losing in the polls leading up to the electric so skew the vote to win.
This also applies to the US Senate race in Arizona and others on the same ballot. By definition they have used nefarious ways to obfuscate the vote and to create a seditious act by circumventing the will of the people to change the structure of government to their liking. That is a soft coup.

Such a shame that the country now is only the shattered & tattered remains of what was once so great. I along with so many thousands of others gave part of my life (eleven years for me but some gave much more time and so many thousands gave the ultimate sacrifice) to the preservation of our freedom as a nation, only now to be dispensed away by some pathetic 'politicians' who only seem to be promoting the sorry democratic party agenda while enrichening themselves along the way, and the republican party is not blameless either.

Amongst the American populace, the spirit seems to be there (flag waving, parades, and all that) but one wonders if there is enough fortitude to come back. Seems as if most are only paying lip service to patriotism. Industry/manufacturing has disappeared because of the political/business/economic climate and may or may not return. Schools have turned into 'indoctrination centers' and good & decent ethics are no longer emphasized as the populace seems to be turning into a "me" society. There is little to no support nor admiration shown to law enforcement & military as used to be. Both law enforcement and military (all branches) are failing to meet recruitment requirements so we will fall dismally in world power. Our present so-called leadership has placed the US as no longer the "beacon of hope" (quoting President Reagan) but as a country no longer capable, witnessed recently by actions of North Korea & Iran. Depleting our oil supply reserve for minimal political gain along with becoming dependant on foreign sources for critical military supplies does not bode well for the country. This election season is the first time in 60 years I have not voted as it seems that counts can be electronically manipulated to the outcome desired by the powers that be. The integrity of our election system has always been the bulwark of our country but now seems to be disappearing. There are certainly no decent ethics shown by the political world. The quality of life outlook is no longer bright as most now are struggling to put food on the table, muchless enjoying some finer parts of living. Seems as if some have devolved to putting gas in the car to be able to go to work or going on welfare to put food on the table.

I'll get off my soapbox now, I just feel bad for future generations because of the direction it seems we are going as a nation

Hear your pain Fred and striking words. What's the old saying? "United we stand, divided we fall".
Said it before, time to learn Mandarin, they are sitting back watching the play out and smiling.

LOL, simply look at the embargos and tariffs that were imposed on Australia some time ago with certain products because we (aussies) spoke out against humanitarian rights and other things, guess what? They still buy Aussie iron ore at record prices with no tariffs, why? Their economy. War or peace it's all about money.

I am not a veteran but I remember my dad (fought in WW2 and occupational forces in Japan) telling me all the time that war is very nasty in the home or internationally but is based on greed.

OMO.

Cheers, Steve.

The USA started going downhill when they went to a "volunteer military service". Without a draft most people will never leave their home state much less the country. They live in an echo chamber. Makes it easy to demonize other states to say nothing of other countries. Makes it easier for the politicians to steal from them too. As a former president once said. "If you can convince the lowest white man he's better than the best colored man, he won't notice you're picking his pocket. Hell, give him somebody to look down on, and he'll empty his pockets for you."

You just quoted LBJ, one of my mostly disliked presidents along with LadyBird and her "great society" push as I am still convinced he had something to do with the assignation of his predecessor. Still remember that day. Sitting on a bar stool in Reno enjoying a cool one when the news came on the TV. Jumped off the stool and headed back to base not knowing just how this would affect all of us in the Military.

We have now mostly completed another election season and I am now more convinced than ever that our younger generations have not studied nor learned anything about history. Apparently they have no knowledge/thoughts of the consequences of what they do, or they are so gullible to accept what is spewed at them whether it is true or not. I hope they will understand when it comes down on them but by then it will be too late. A lot of people are already suffering but they must feel it does not pertain to them.

Steve, I remember how China treated the Australian's when they didn't agree with their politics, it was in the news, something about the lobsters stuck while in transport and I'll bet many other products. I do remember hitting port I think at the very tip of Australia and the ship next to us was filled up with cows, thousands of cows being exported.

Fred, I had nothing going in Grand Forks North Dakota, my job was waiting tables during the daytime at a fancy mall foodie spot and then at night making tacos and grinders, so the military sure ended up giving me a much brighter future and I never thought about the pension or when I'd retire I was only 21 years old.

Anyway while I served over the years I noticed many of the younger guys or women getting kicked out had no clue either, they didn't take their career seriously, they still partied hard and took drugs, some who did take their job seriously, they were happy working in the military but also got caught on a urine test with drugs in their system, wow what a wasted career and some where mid level enlisted members. Before I entered the military I was made aware that the military frequently tests your urine for drugs and they did this as you applied so there's no excuse for continuing to do drugs, so if there's an issue with recruit, it's a career with a pension wow... I think it's due to the stigma of the military pushed onto high school students and the actual truth is that they take care of you, it's a Government job.

Simple retaliation by the then government (Australia) for sticking their nose in while others held back for years and let the cr@p go on, and still goes on, what can one expect from an autocratic regime? Now stronger than ever.
It's my children and grandchildren that concerns me and the life us baby boomers created for them.

Those fallen (God rest their souls) and in active duty fight for democracy and little else I hope.

OMO.

Cheers, Steve.

There are bound to be some investigation coming. Even if it might be revealed that she did not interfere in some manner, the optic presented is very bad and will always be a taint to whatever she does. I was a resident of Ariz for some 44 years before moving here and if I could have still voted there, Kari Lake would have got mine.

Guys I know who served in Iraq talk about how those elections required people to show ID's, and then dip a finger in blue dye that wouldn't wash off for days/weeks. Maybe we should do that here.

At least showing an ID should be required. I have to show one when I write a check at a store, and when I go to my bank to deposit a check.

All of the welfare patients that I've treated have been able to show me a photo ID. Which means that they were able to register with the government to obtain city/county/state/federal aid.

Maybe we should go from having a voting "season" back to a voting "day."

The problem in AZ from what I remember is that the machines that print out the voting ballots didn't' work in most of the counties, not just one area but many area's, so now weeks pass before a proper voter count and this also means that those waiting to vote may have given up.

This seems to be a pattern in a few key Democrat run states, while all the votes are in everywhere else the election ends up becoming extended so that's the main concern.

I think the real problem is the size of your counties. In the UK each ward is only about 40k voters so at most it's the end of the next day before the result is known, When you have hundreds of thousands of votes to count it just takes time.
