Is it SSRN or is it the ACR number on the back that's required in gcash validation to fully upgrade my account?
I'm using the SSRN.

I keep getting errors : Hi! A problem occurred in your verification. Please make sure to submit the correct information. Learn more about GCash verification via Help Center. Thank you!

Any tips?
I tried many times for many weeks now.
The only option gcash gives me is ACR card.

I tried ten and eleven digit phone number, my middle name with first name line, SSRN and ACR Number on back.

Any other ideas?

I have gone through several tickets and uploaded and or emailed every form of id I have from every country , which is scary, to lift a hold and now to fully validate.

Hi Retired Kano, welcome to the forum and I'm sure you will get plenty of answers from members here as most have been through the daunting process.

For me though 3/4 years ago and old timers i had a lot of issues also, from memory I simply used my passport and a biometric scan with me holding the passport. Rejected so many times and frustrating. The better half who is a bit of a tech wizard told me the lighting was wrong and the resolution too high, he adjusted and stuck me in a better lighting situation and it went through first time. He just used his drivers lic. for his application.

Good luck and hope you win as it's a very handy addition.

Cheers, Steve.

Think of everything here as low quality including the lighting, so don't make the room to bright.

Front copy of your IDs or if it calls for front and back, I've forgotten now, I did this last year.

GCash is the same way with IDs.

Welcome to the forum Retired Kano and keep us posted.

I tried in all kinds of lights. When I get the SMS another failed attempt I'll do it again in different lighting this time with photo settings lower.

Thanks for the ideas on getting my account upgraded.

I can't get enough in to cover the energy bill let alone phones, food, gas....
Filipina wife doesn't like the heat and it's not even hot yet air going 24/7 already.

Go pay your power bill with cash as that's all Luelco would accept but since the solar instalation and a 6 peso bill per month they advised the better half it could be paid through Gcash,,,,, go figure, skimmingthe cash payments? who can know.
Aside we only use Gcash for internet, phones and 1 or 2 other things and generally around P4K per month or less.

Food, gas etc is cash for us, interesting your wife Filipina wife doesn't like the heat, most here have a fan. We have all the A/C units running at 24 C and the better half always wears a t shirt and a blanket at night for the bed while I simply have the sheet, tells me it's too cold.
I hope you get your Gcash sorted out. Good luck.

Cheers, Steve.

It used to be no charge Mark under 8K per month deposit but I see these dayys they are charging us like 2% on any transaction through Gcash even if we are well under the limit of 8K, will talk to Ben to simply use the BDO debit card with no fees..... yet.
While it's only a few pesos here and there when we signed up there were no fees and we never got a notification that they moved the goal posts, principle and little else.

Cheers, Steve.

I don't like waiting in line outside for at least an hour to pay the bill.
So the quest for better options has already started.
Lazada works, the link for my biller seems buried to me.
Gcash with a card would combine all my needs.
I didn't know about the 8000 cap and 2 percent, I don't like paying money to spend money.

Talk about having a laugh. Our power bill is P 5.6 under 6 pesos, pay online with Gcash their cut is to charge us 8 pesos for the service. Ben tells me it's not Gcash but Luelco charging us a service fee of 8 pesos to pay their bill, go figure.

Cheers, Steve.

I'm not sure if it was off or on when i lowered the camera setting. I will have to give it another try.
The error msg says a problem occured with the verification please submit the correct information...this says to me the info i type doesn't match my ACR card or what they have on record.

I used passport for original GCash account but I just opened MAYA account and it took my Philippine driver license, no problem.
I pay my Cignal, Moresco and PLDT every month with GCash. I think the I pay 8 or 20 peso fee for two of them.
I also load my Smart and Globe Sim's using GCash.
While I notice some strange messages every now and again, a look at the transaction log shows everything worked fine.
I noticed I could not open a GOTYME online bank account as a foreign citizen. Seems some bank services are restricted to citizens.
I walked into BPI branch on Wednesday and opened an account, they took my ACR and driver's license but in the end as US citizen I also had to produce a passport. But no real issues, I guess I had enough ID. They took my US social security number on like four forms.
Wise is becoming a lot less friendly. In the past they took the money from my bank to send in less than a day, now they seem to give themselves 5 days. I know the money leaves in a day so are they using the float to make some money while I wait on the transfer?
I am still a fan of using wires, fixed fee no matter the amount and the banks can pull money back if required.

Amcan13, wires is to expensive for me. I won't be sending a years worth at a time. I will just write a check and wait a few weeks for it to clear if remittance doesn't work.
I did wire to a car dealership which took sometime to go through but was able to skip putting it into a bank here.

Now gCash is running thats less cash I need in the house to worry about.

Agree with amcan. I send what I need when needed from my bank in Australia to our account here, I watch the exchange rate and then transfer, cost me AU 5 bucks, better half withdrawers and sticks it in the safe, tops up our Gcash as needed when shopping to simply pay Cignal, internet and phones.
Never used wise or remitly, a broker in Australia once when we purchased the house. bank to bank is the winner for us.

Cheers, Steve.
