FLR (M) form doubt

Hello,

My wife has a part-time job at KFC in which the salary per week is highly dependent on the number of shifts one does. Hence, the salary varies a lot. On the form, where it is asked for the annual salary - would it be acceptable by UKBA if:

we calculate her monthly income by taking an average of the weekly pay and times the monthly income by 12? - to get an approx Annual income

Secondly, she has been working there for last 10 months - however, during that the Franchise was sold and owner of that the branch was taken over by a different company (Payroll has changed too). They are still branded as KFC but the owners have changed. (Document to show the change of owner is there)

From the visa's perspective, would this situation be taken as a different employer in the last 6 months or the fact that she's working at the same place/same staff/under same brand would make it the same employer?

Any help would be much appreciated.

This is easy!
Yes, just take the average of her last 6 months of income (i.e. adding up all her wage slips for 6 months) and double it.
No, being taken over by a new company doesn't reset the 6-month clock.

Only certain offices accept banker's draft. Just take a credit or debit card and pay on the day of your appointment, minus ÂŁ100.

Thanks Joppa - I'll simply pay by debit card.

Also, my wife has got a photocopy of her Employment Contract - would that be okay? Or, the original is specifically needed. KFC has refused to give her original contract. We do have payslips till date..

Brilliant! For the letter of employer - KFC have said they would not give it as all the things needed to be mentioned in the letter are already mentioned in contract

They have been highly uncooperative in this whole process...

Good thing is that I already earn more than the threshold but I want to show her an employed - not dependant on me!

As long as YOU (as the British citizen) earn enough without a a contribution from your wife, then the lack of a letter from your wife's employer won't matter. But if you are relying on her income in any way, then the lack of a letter will be grounds for a rejection. I had a similar(ish) problem, as the Payroll Dept of the company I work for refused to issue a letter. The solution: I spoke to HR, asked to speak to a manager and they wrote it for me. Where there's a will.... :)

Thanks LeeP...

In my case, my wife's British citizen - am not relying on her income. KFC branch dont have a HR - Store Manager is the sole person responsible for all such things - She has simply refused saying all details already mentioned in contract. Am not pushing for it but would certainly be a 'good to have' doc.
