Can I file 485 and 190 visa applications at the same time?

Hi,
I am currently on student visa (574) which expires in December, 2018. I completed my course (PhD) on 10th April 2018.
I wish to stay in Australia after completing the course.

Thus, I started preparing the visa application 485 (Post-Study Graduate Visa). Simultaneously, I also initiated the EoI for the permanent visa (190).

As of today (13 June, 2018), I have the following status:
- The 485 application is ready to be lodged
- I have been invited by HomeAffairs to lodge the 190 application

I read some information on the internet and understood that it isn't necessary to move from 574 to 485 to 190

My Question:
Should I just go ahead with visa 190 application? , OR, Should I lodge both 485 and 190?

I guess, applying for just 190 makes sense, not only monetarily (just the cost of 190) , but would be less confusing (one individual filing two applications).

I'll be grateful if someone can advise if I am thinking in the right direction.

Thanks in advance

I would just lodge the 190 visa if I was you - after 60 days you would have to go through the whole EOI process again anyway if you choose not to (and by then the occupation lists might have changed).
