Au 155 RRV processing time

The processing times for the 155 are heavily skewed by those that meet the 2 year requirement. Did you enter Australia on the 1 year RRV you were issued last year?

Reading between the lines you were only in Australia for a few days in the 5 year travel facility, was then granted a 1 year RRV following the expiry of the initial travel facility on the basis of a job offer or a temporary job while in Australia and now a year later are seeking another RRV outside of Australia.

If I was to guess your RRV application is working its way up the food chain for a decision based on the whether or not the job offer is real, or whether some short employment actually demonstrates a real tie to Australia given it appears you may have only spend days in Australia since the grant of the visa.

If the singular employment tie is all you have then its possible you have been considered ineligible for the 155 and decision making re a 3 months 157 is happening. If this is the case expect 2-3 months.
