Hello everyone, i need a little suggestion if someone can help with their experience.
My sister have positive skill assessment for Market Research Analyst from VETASSESS.
But she is waiting from 8 months and didn’t get invite. Now she’s planning to change the occupation and apply for corporate services manager. My concern is, assessing authority is same, if she modifies the duties accordingly and manages to get new experience letters from the company, will VETASSSESS accepts it as earliest her job duties were little different from the new one’s. Or she would have to provide same documents as before and just need to change the occupation?
Any suggestions will be appreciated.
Please use the same documents.
If you request a new assessment, assessor would have access to your previous assessment. If I were you, from the same assessing authority, I would not change role and responsibilities. A flag would be raised for your profile. If there is an alternative assessing authority, please go ahead and get the assessment and obtain the document with new role and responsibilities.
PS: If the above two roles and responsibilities would vary a lot, I would not recommend assessment from a different assessing authority.
I can feel your pain and wish you all the best.

Got my nomination approved from Victoria for visa 190 few mins back and received invite from skill select as well. Can anybody list down all the required documents and whether it should be certified?
Hi, Can you please list down the required documents, as i belive you must have submitted your visa application till now.

Hi all, anyone knows if I can change my employer while waiting grant for 190? Status is further assessment at the moment.
Cheers.
It doesn't matter if you are offshore
It doesn't matter if you are onshore too, unless it does for the visa you are currently on.

@fugitive_4u I have applied for Visa 190 and currently waiting for my grant. During this period, if I get a job offer in Australia, can I move with a work visa? Will my PR application gets rejected if I move before the grant to Australia with a work visa?

and

I have applied for PR as a family, my wife and two kids. Once we get the Visa grant, should all 4 ofus move to Australia? What if my wife and kids decide to stay back and I decide to move to Australia? Will I be eligible to stay alone with our PR and apply for Citizenship?

I am in this situation: work experience after degree: 1y+ work experience after "deemed skill date" form vetasses: less than 1 year Employment in EOI: set 1y+ and get 5 points ROI in VIC Anybody in this situation got visa granted? Or rejected?

Thanks for the answer mate. One more thing, I realised while filling it that I did ticked two boxes regarding military service initially while putting my application.
I said yes to below questions as I thought that they were related to normal compulsory service (I only did 21 days with just physical exrecise). You reckon I need to file another form for incorrect answers or form 80 will be enough with additional information explaining why I said no them now at the back?
  • undergone any military/paramilitary training, been trained in weapons/explosives or in the manufacture of chemical/biological products?
  • served in a military force, police force, state sponsored/private militia or intelligence agency (including secret police)?

Cheers.
Hi,
I am facing same issue here.
I ticked "No" for both military questions in my initial application form.
Now I receive s56 request for military detail.
My home country does have compulsory military service, but for some reasons, I took the substitute civilian service so there is no military detail I can provide.
I did provide the verification of substitute service with my application.

My question is:
Do I need to change the answer from "No" to "Yes" in the military part? It seems the case officer considers my substitute service as military one.
-- If yes, there will be no information I could provide in the below columns(battalion/brigade/duties), could I leave them blank?
-- If no, will it be seen as fraudulence?

Thanks for you help.

Are you offshore? If you are, then certainly you can move, but bear in mind that whatever Visa you get, always invalidates the visa you hold. In other words, if you were to apply SC482 now and assume your SC190 is granted, then whenever SC482 it granted, it invalidates SC190. So do take your steps carefully.

Your SC190 will not be rejected on the grounds of your work visa application

You can do so, no issues with that, but bear in mind that when you apply for your citizenship, only your children (assuming they will still be minors then) can be added to your application and your wife may not be eligible. It may also potentially put your wife's chances of entering Australia in jeopardy, should she choose to stay back until her travel rights expire.

All the best..!

Hi @fugitive_4u need your help pls.New user.

Applying for aus citizenship in 1 month.
Saw one screenshot of last page.
The applicant declares that They intend to reside or continue to reside in Australia, or maintain a close and continuing association with Australia.

What if after the citizenship ceremony say after some time, the individual personal or work circumstances changes (no one knows fully about the future) and she needs to return to home country India for long period say 5 6 years example any family reasons or she gets a job in foreign country and needs to work there for indefinite amount of time.

will this impact the already received aus citizenship in any way (because of that screenshot declaration)...like can she demanded to return to Australia by officials or her future OCI of India gets cancelled though she had successfully got the OCI after ceremony or something like that?

Once you get your citizenship and passport then you can live in Bahamas or Costa Rica or Uganda all your life ZERO issues. You will be Australian Citizen for life and so will be your kids (if you have any)

Thanks for reply.
Are you sure-just if the what if scenario does actually happen-what about things like close and continuing association to Aus above screenshot, mandatory voting in Aus,jury duty in Aus,Indian OCI etc.I believe its very difficult to regain Indian citizenship.
Do you see any other concerns?
Regards.

Really not sure of your paranoia. Read my comments again. Contact a reputed Immigration lawyer/Migration agent

As a proof point - my close mate returned back home back in 2009 after obtaining Australian citizenship/passport plus Indian OCI. He has not put a foot back in Australia in last 13 years and have just returned back to Australia couple of months ago with his family - so like I said Australian Citizenship is life long.

Plenty of people have double or even triple citizenships. Doesn't matter where they live - because there is no renewal of a citizenship, it's a life long thing. Unless you obtain another citizenship of another country (you could then lose your Australian one) or decided to join ISIS or join Russian or North Korea military there is not even a discussion point here.

For those who submitted a 190 visa application recently.Just spoke to my visa consultancy and they said as per their current cases, folks are receiving grants within 3-6 months timeframe.
I dont think so.....
3-6 months may be for 189 applications....
190 it is definitely taking more than 6 months..... also now they are still processing the application from Aug-Sept 2022....
and now the huge lot from Dev 2022 189 applications will come as 30k invitations were issued...
DHA will have to process lot of applications ..... and hence processing time specially for 190 will increase.... they have officially extended it from 18 months to 36 months for 190.... Hope it comes down soon....

Applications from Oct & Nov are under process now. 3-6 months processing is optimistic expectation. By April, you can expect applications from Dec and Jan to be in queue for processing.
