Hi all,

one interesting scenario, which I think many of us are facing.
I received 189-invite on 6th October 2022(70 points - 233214 occupation). On that day, my PTE was expired 2 months back (3 years) and EA was expired (5 months back).

Yes, I am feeling sorry for myself as I wasn't pro-active in updating the things but who knew that Australia would issue such a big chunk of invites in August and October 2022 rounds.

Anyways, I gave the PTE-A exam (got desired score 79+) and got the duplicate letter from EA last week. Even I applied for PCC and expecting it to receive next week. The last day to accept 189-invite is 5 Dec 2022. Now, as I have all the documents ready, I have also applied for new EOI and waiting for Nov round.

Experts, please suggest what should I do? Is it better to go with the invite or just wait for another invitation.

As there is a Thapa case (Can I apply for Visa if my Skill Assessment Expired? (ausdirectmigration.com) ), but it was for expired EA assessment only, mine is for both expired EA assessment and PTE academic.

also, I found this snip in one of the discussions.

Looking at this, I think, there is no way I can accept the invite.

Anyone, if can throw light on this. Anybody in same boat, what are they planning.
What Experts suggest?
Anyone contacted DHA regarding this?

Please advise.

Thanks
Pankaj

Navigating unchartered waters here mate. It does depend on your risk taking abilities and if you are willing to take the chance. Either just apply and be ready for acceptance/rejection and whatever happens accept it with grace, or ignore this invite and wait for next one which who knows when and if occurs

I'm in the same boat as yours mate. I'm lodging a new EOI and hoping for the best in the next round as well as keeping my fingers crossed for the existing invite. We have until 5th December to lodge the visa application, so just hoping for a miracle from somewhere.

However, my agent as well as numerous Samaritans online have advised against lodging of the visa with the expired docs.

Hi Abbas, thank you for the reply.
my agent has discussed the same with one of the MARA agents and they also suggested to abandon this invite.

If you are offshore and a dare devil and can afford to waste your visa fees, you can apply
If you are onshore, then you have a better chance of fighting it out with the department in case your application is rejected
The decision is yours alone
I would not have taken that risk, if I were in your shoes
Cheers

Guys, please read the communication you received when PTE score had expired i.e before receiving the invite. It is mentioned
" If your English language test was undertaken more than 36 months from the date you apply for your visa, your visa may be refused"

This indicates that PTE should be counted within 36 months of visa application date. May be rules have changed. I am in same boat but still trying to find the answer.

No rules were changed yet. But COs maybe lenient pwhen the applicant is as good as any othe deserving one if renewed docs are supplied. But with the recent December invitation round with 35000 more invites, now its difficult to imagine how DHA will process such cases. Now they have enough applicants even more than the annual quota.

May I know ,at which stages of PR application, we need to submit our PTE scores?
