working oil and gas industry in middle east

I am looking for a position in operations in the oil and gas industry in the middle east. I can see there are plenty of sights that will take your money and not lead to much. Can any one provide some good sound advice on finding work there. Thank you.

Maybe I should have introduced myself first. I am new here and Live in Denver CO.
I spent 18 years in the oil and gas industry in Alaska. For the past 15 years I have been self employeed in the Specialty Coffee and Tea Industry. It has been a great 15 years, children are grown and gone. Now I would like to give my past life a boost with a good regular pay check and ultimate goal would be to work one month on and one month off and comute from Spain.
