We are thinking of moving to Spain, presently we are in Belgium.

Our questions are:

Do you have child minder services in Spain and if so do you need a diploma?
Would we have to register?
Here there is an organisation called “child and family” and you are inspected before you can start. Is it the same in Spain?

The guarderias – do you need a diploma to work there?
If we buy a crèche would one of us need a diploma?
:)

I don't know all the 'ins & out's', but I do know that there are lots of rules & regulations, & indeed licences & inspections

the best thing would be to contact the local Ayuntamiento (council) to find out local regulations, as they are likely to vary area to area

There seems to be a lot of nursery type schools in Spain, child minders tend to be family members. My friend had trouble getting anyone to look after her little girl when she was younger and ended up employing a nanny to come to the house. So far I dont think child minding is that common so I dont know what rules and regulations there would be
