hi there

i am currently in the process of moving to australia on a 457. the company who is sponsoring me has an immigration lawyer who has asked me to provide references from all my ex employers. i am keen to know how thorough this procedure is as some of my past work history in my 20s was somewhat patchy and i had modified my cv basically to avoid the hassle of having to explain it all. i don't have a major problem having to explain this to my new employer, but i think it could take ages to get all the relevant info. plus i'm sure some of the companies are no long trading.

i realise i have been a bit naughty here, but the job basically all came about before i had time to think about this stage of the proceedings.
