Your stamped spouse visa in your passport is all the proof you require about residence and right to work. Those who extend their stay are usually issued with a biometric residence permit, but you don't have one and can't get one.
Your stamped spouse visa in your passport is all the proof you require about residence and right to work. Those who extend their stay are usually issued with a biometric residence permit, but you don't have one and can't get one.Sorry if this is a duplicate question but I cannot seem to find the answer that I am looking for specifically.
I am here in the UK, I am married to a UK citizen and I am on a 2 year spouse visa.
1) I want to get some sort of ID to say I am ok to be here or my home address etc, is this available?
2) What type of work permit would i need in order to work? I have my NHS number but I still need something else to say that I am cool to work here correct?
Thanks
So then I do not need a work permit in order to get employment?Your stamped spouse visa in your passport is all the proof you require about residence and right to work. Those who extend their stay are usually issued with a biometric residence permit, but you don't have one and can't get one.
No. As a spouse visa holder, you have the right to work, so when going for a job, show your passport with your visa in it. If they aren't sure, ask them to phone UKBA employer helpline on 0300 123 4699 Mon-Fri 9-5.So then I do not need a work permit in order to get employment?
Thanks
