Hello all,

I have recently shifted to UK with tier 2 general visa and my wife is here in UK with tier 2 partner visa.

I want to know whether my wife is able to get job here. Will company's recruit job seekers with tier 2 general visa.

Please also let me know how to get my son admitted in school. What is the procedure.

Regards

With Tier 2 General dependant visa, your wife is eligible to work.

It depends on how old he is. If it's a casual entry (i.e. not at the time when applications open for Reception, Year 1 or Year 7), you just have to find a school with a place and apply direct. Before doing so, find out as much about the school as you can from Ofsted reports, school league tables and asking other parents. If stuck, contact local council education dept for schools with places.
