Hi, I have seen in MSA booklet that maximum number of words in a CDR is recommended to be 2500. However, my CDRs are having words in range of 3000-3500. Will it be any issue?

Moreover, will the glossary items be considered for word count in CDR?

try to be in 2500-3000 range.

Remove tables, formulas/mathematical expressions, diagrams, figures, charts from it. And explain them briefly not in detail. Remove glossary its not necessary. Just mention the expanded form with acronym and then use the acronym throughout.

Gags is right. Don't let them think you are a type of Engineer who couldn't even follow simple instructions ;)
I had the same problem when I first prepared CDR. So I cut down some sentences and believe me it took more time to decide what to keep and what to delete than the time taken by me to prepare CDRs.
Only words in Introduction, Background, Personal Engineering Activity and Summary are Counted.
Hope it helps!
Cheers!
