I am planning to move to Melbourne mid January 2010 with my fiancee with a Working Holiday Visa.
I am a Mechanical Engineer and she is a journalist. We wish to have some testimonies about the kind of job that we can find in Melbourne, the salary, and last, if you succeed to make even a little bit of savings...

Hi there,

I'm not sure if any of our members are on a WHV in Melbourne at the moment.

I guess as far as salaries are concerned it's not going to be great due to the rule that you can't work for the same employer for more than 6 months. Hopefully though, there is someone out there that can give you more details on the WHV.

Have you done a search on the forum to see if anyone has?
