I wrote a post similar to this a couple weeks ago, I have no idea where to star (immigrating from Canada to U.K., my husband is British). I've created an online profile as directed but it seems so confusing through.

We were married about a month ago, and I've changed my name. When the profile asks for past/other passports do I need to know the numbers of all my old passports? I'll be getting a new one in the next few weeks with my new name, do I just provide them with that one? I don't have old ones...

Just really not sure where to start & the gov't website doesn't seem to give straightforward information. Help is appreciated!

Hi Crawford, yes I saw Joppa's reply to the last post & it is very much appreciated. I'm just having a hard time knowing where to start with all of this.

With the online profile I created, should I continue to use that? Or just compile all the documents I can put together on my own & submit that way?

I apologize, I just find it to be confusing when there doesn't seem to be a place to go where all docs can be filled out, or even a guideline to follow (I found the UK govt website very unhelpful).

I need to just pick a place & start there I think!
