San Diego. Though not anywhere near those tower blocks at the end of the runway -- the planes always look like they miss them by about 3 feet.

But what about all those horrible Brits who hang around in S. Monica? Best avoided for that alone.
Why are those the only 2 choices?? Are you able to live and work here legally?? There are certainly lots of very attractive areas in California...and the rest of the country for that matter
