I read in forum that you can file your application paying the fees
For visa 175/176.after that you get certain amount of time to upload documents
So when will my age calculated

1 at the time I file my application
2 at the time I submit my documents

In filling out your application, you write what your age is before you make a payment, but the application won't be considered submitted until you make the payment. So the age that is calculated is the age you write on your application at the time of the payment. (There are no "back" and edit buttons after you pay, so after you submit your main application it goes into a blackhole, and you won't be able to change your answers. You can't change the documents you upload either).

Hi Lalu,

It's when you lodge your application and pay for the fees. You would receive an email from the DIAC confirming your lodged application.

Have you checked out immi.gov.au ? It clearly states it there.

Skilled – Independent (Migrant) Visa (Subclass 175)
Age – Points

The number of points is determined by your age on the day you lodge your application.

Points Age
25 18 – 24
30 25 – 32
25 33 – 39
15 40 – 44
0 45 – 49

At the time of filing your application ...i guess.
bcoz they will ask you the age when you fill out the online application...

btw, why is this a big issue..bcoz the link to upload your docs will be given t you within 24 hours of paying the fees..

At the time of filing your application ...i guess.
bcoz they will ask you the age when you fill out the online application...

btw, why is this a big issue..bcoz the link to upload your docs will be given t you within 24 hours of paying the fees..

The thing is I need to lodge my application in few days else I will loose few points
I won't be able to upload document as I am traveling.so was thinking. May be submit application and upload document latter .
But if my application is considered complete when I submit document I guess it will be late
