Hi I'm still confused what lafta is. If this is not removed as planned if I am from UK on a 457 am I entitled. Is it added to salary or do I claim somehow

It is Living Away From Home Allowance, its a reduction in your tax so you get more wages. Your employer sorts it through payroll. But this won't exisit for people on 457 from July so if your employer is trying to use it as enticement make sure they will top up your wages when they get rid of it.
