There are many "forum slang" that I don't understand. Any link to a thread explaining them?

I read this CO in all threads.

hi friend,

every applicant who rushes to lodge the visa following the invite will get (allocated with) an officer who will check the candidate's educational and professional background and their credibility, candidate's medical fitness, conduct etc. and decide finally whether to give him the visa grant or not. As this is technically called a "immigration case", the officer who copes with your candidature is known as case officer. He is the sole decision maker about your visa and he can ask you to submit more documents if he is not satisfied with the credentials you submitted.

Shortly, he is called CO.
