Hello all - I am planning to retire in Mexico in the next few years. I was told by someone that I might "miss my conveniences" afforded to me living in the states. I'm curious what have you all missed after leaving the U.S.? What's the hardest adjustment you've had to make?

You may do what many have done and have a home on both countries and see what works for you. I was spending half of my time in Mexico until the pandemic started and now I’m NOB most of the time. I’ll be going back soon and it’ll take me a couple of days to hook up all the utilities and restock my pantries. When I have to see my doctor, do my taxes, etc. Then I fly back. In Mexico I don’t have a car, am near downtown, walk every day, enjoy the beautiful weather. What is there to miss?

I have been here for over 20 years and miss nothing except good Asian food. I have private insurrance and never go out of the country because I need something ir miss something.

I've lived here over 40 years full time and miss nothing !
