I'm almost ready to submitt my application I've just got to resit IELTS as failed to get an 8 in writing band.... What will happen if my application doesn't get submitted before the 1st July???

DIAC is revamping the way it accepts applications in a major way from July'12.
You will need to submit an EOI.Based on this DIAC will decide whether you are fit enough and they will send out invitations and only these guys can apply further for the visas.
as of now anyone who's able to gather 65 points is more or less assured of getting the 175/176 visa. but after july'12 this might not be the case necessarily...

DIAC will keep on updating the rules until July'12 so its best to visit the site on a regular basis..

My agent has informed me on the 1st of July it's going to be even harder to get into Australia!!! Apparently you have to Do an EOI first and they all go into a "lottery machine" and could take upto 2yrs before they'll pick you out and even consider you for a visa is this correct????

apparently DIAC claims that the processing time will drop significantly..We can only speculate at the moment. only time will tell whether DIAC is right or wrong abt this..
Its not really gonna be harder to get into Australia if you have the required skill-set and points...
