Hi ,i just wanted to check how to send money to India through western Union Money transfer.
i mean i need to know what are the charges involved & how much time it takes for for the receiver to get the money. Its my first time.. or is there any other mode of trasferring money ..Thanks in Advance

Hi,

I have used this system on a previos occassion and, there is a commission charge which is based on the amount of money you are sending. Depending on the time you complete your transaction the recipient can receive the cash on the same day. Hope this helps.

I have not used western union as the exchange rates they offer are not good. But WU money transfers are very quick.
The same exchange houses also offer direct transfer to a bank account - for India the charge is 20 Dhs per transfer. Al Ansari exchange is usually good. You need the recipient's name, bank account number, and bank and branch name.
