Hi all,

I have a doubt about the translation of my transcript.

I know that the university has to send the transcript directly to WES in a sealed envelop, but at the same time it has to be translated.

I already have my transcript translated by a professional translation, but I cannot ensure that the university will issue an exact copy of it. Believe or not, they write it down every time I ask for a copy of my transcript.

Shall I provide the translation to the university so they include it along with the new transcript in the sealed enveloped? or I should send the translation on my own to WES?

Thanks in advance,
Noemi.

Here the instructions to get a ECA from WES
https://www.wes.org/required-documents/

4. Document Translations
Important Information:
If your academic documents are not issued in English, WES must receive both translations and original language documents, e.g. the copy of the degree certificate you send and the official academic transcript your institution sends.

Any translation provided by you would surely not be acceptable.
So, I have to ask my University to issue my transcript, translate it and send it in a sealed envelop ?

The translations that I have are certified by a public translator.

I've found this. So, I can send translation directly to WES.

translation, sending translations
"4. Certified translations do not need to be sent in a sealed envelope. You can send them to WES yourself."
