After being on here talking about it and ironing out the kinks for 18mts - 2ys we are finally on our way. We will be in the air this time 12 weeks! I’m so excited, I have a potential (very keen) sponsor on the other end and a million things to sort out this end but we will be there in 12 weeks’ time!! For anyone that has given positive helpful advice - we greatly thank you.

Here is another request for information.....Any tips or advice on things you may have forgotten to sort/take/do before you went or things you sorted/took/did that were more important than you realised?

Any information and feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

YEY!!! We are finally going to chase our dreams, join my brother and many ancestors before us!!! :)

That's fantastic news!

I think one good idea would be to bring as much furniture with you as you can. Personally I find the furniture here to be not of a particularly good standard. You can then buy new and chuck out what you don't want. Same with your white goods.

Good luck!

Congratulations! Something we left to the last minute and that took longer than we thought was scanning copies of all our important documentation. Depends how much you've got but it's good to have everything stored electronically in case shipping or luggage goes missing.
Enjoy your final countdown!

I second that. Having a scanned copy of your documents in email / sky drive makes life so much easier. It is also accepted by customs as your grant / visa proof just in case you loose something on the way.

we wrent shipping any white goods or furniture as its way to expensive and we dont want to be tied down anywhere. We have decided to start from scratch there :)

As for scanning goods we will definitely do that. Thanks for that advice. I hadnt thought of that!!

What I was asking really was things like that. We are leaving England forever....never want to come back to this horrible place....and did annyone forrget to close accounts, get specific references etc that we should remember?

Many thanks to everyone :clap2:
