Hi we applied in Cape Town South Africa, for Spouse Settlement visa for UK
Date submitted 23/10/2013
I was just wondering, although it states 12 weeks, is there anybody that got theres in less, maybe 8 weeks. We are hoping to leave the 23rd of December.
This is so difficult, as the Entry clearance officer says our application is still in the queue waiting to be assessed. Hope its happens quick from there:confused:

We got ours in 5 weeks
Hi were did you apply from and when if I may ask?
Did you get any updates during that time
We only got the sms visa under process, but when we called to enquire, they said our application has not been delt with it is still in the queue
It seems like the queue part is the time consuming part and not the actual assessment of the visa.
Ps some countries have a priority service for Settlement visas, but not South Africa.
Would love to hear from you
Was your 5 weeks Mon to Friday

applied from Zambia but the processing is done in Pretoria. All the processing periods around the hubs is stated as 12 weeks but they have been processing fast than the expected. No priority processing was paid. U will probably hear from them soon....at the most I would say 8 weeks from day biometrics were taken if its a straight forward application.
