I'm electrician from ire, doing Vetassess practical nx week. If passed I want to apply for wa state sponsorship 176 visa.
My agent has said that it's possible that WA have exceeded there quota for state sponsor, & is advising re-taking the ielts for band 8, which I really don't want to do to apply for 175.
Just got results from ielts band 7.
Has anyone recently applied & received state sponsorship for WA? It seems to be the quicker option & I'm 100% on WA, with work, friends living there..

Hi Im just about to log my case with DIAC!! For 176 ss wa .... I'm a bricklayer and passed skills and I've 8 in IELTS definatly going to Perth as friends there, I've been working on the railways for 10yrs with same company, hopefully as soon as our agent logs out case with DIAC it shouldn't be long before we get case officer then hopefully they'll ask us for Pcc and medicals!! I really hope wa haven't exceeded there quota for ss

Well I'd be grateful if you could keep me up to date with ur process as itl probably b another month before I'm at the lodge stage if this Vetassess is passed. But hopefully WA still sponsoring sure all ya hear is they need the construction workers.. Where r u heading from? Uk/ire?
