Hello,

I had applied for visitor visa for my parents, sister and her children(aged 6 and 11) and have received grant for my parents and sister within a couple of days. It has been around 2 weeks now and there has been no update regarding the visa for the children - I had created a group also so that it is processed together. Firstly, I was wondering if this is normal. Secondly for the children(and the others) I had given my details as the authorised recipient. In the required forms, I can see that form 956a is required(I have not submitted this), but Im not sure how to go about it as that is something that needs to be signed and submitted by the applicant(children in this case)?. It was not a problem for the others as I do fall under the exempt person for them. So for the children, do I just fill the form and leave the signature field blank? Can anyone please provide with some pointers on how to proceed?

Thanks in advance.

This is no advice.
I did apply for a visitor visa before for my parents, sister and nephew(minor). I have filled 956A for all of them, for my nephew, either of his parents should sign it, in my case my sister sign it. I got the grant for all 4 of them together. Hope this helps.

Hi Sui

When do you apply for a visitors visa for your parents? After applying you got it within 2 days? Since I am in the process of applying visitor visa for my parents and a bit concerned about processing timelines since they need to bring my daughter to Australia after their grant.

Thanks
Ria
