Hey, FYI for all you Canadians out there... got this from a friend a Foreign Affairs... make sure you get visa for your visitors...

Please circulate this important information to all Diplomatic and official passport holders at your Mission. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates informs us that, effective October 1, 2009, Canadian diplomatic and official passport holders are not eligible to obtain a visa upon arrival in the United Arab Emirates. They must obtain visas prior to arrival by filling out a form available at any UAE diplomatic or consular office abroad. Diplomatic and official passport holders arriving in the UAE without a visa may be retained at the border and may be sent back to their point of origin. The DFAIT Travel Report site is being updated accordingly.
