Hi,

This query is directed to folks from India with a 190 visa but all others are also welcome to share their feedback.

I have been granted 190 for Vic state under the 262112 security specialist job code. I have informed my company of my visa status and they are ready to send me to Vic on deputation. Is this acceptable under the 190 category as typically such intra-company deputation is done through 457 visa class.

If I accept this offer, will I fulfill the below Victorian Government condition or any 190 visa conditions:
1. You and your dependants intend to live in Victoria for at least two years. You understand that this two year commitment commences from the time that the nominated visa is granted if you are already living in Victoria; or upon arrival in Australia if you are currently living overseas.


If anybody on this forum has already taken this route then I request you to please share your views & experience regards to this matter.

I don't see why it shouldn't fulfill the 2 year requirement. As long as you live in Victoria, the circumstances as to how you got your employment shouldn't matter. Just my 2 cents.

I hope by now you are in australia! Even I plan to apply under 262112- do you think you can help me with your roles and responsibilties? I wantd to feel the pulse of how it should be drafted - I am not using a consultant
