We got the visa today!
176 State Sponsored... We are going to Perth.
Our Journey started in back in June 2011 when I was considering further education and got an offer from Monash.
The missus and I are HR professionals and we did not think we had a chance with PR and hence the student route. As I was researching visas I got to understand that HR Managers and Recruitment Consultants were on the State Sponsored List and thus our journey began
We got ourselves a wonderful agent who helped us through the process and gave us good advice. Like the advice that both the missus and I get our skills assessed. It turned out to be useful because my assessment was by AIM which ultimately turned out to be negative (No surprises there)
The missus got a positive assessment from VETASSESS for Recruitment Consultant end of November 2011. She then booked for IELTS in Dec. First attempt scored above 8.5 in all sections except writing where she scored 6.5. After that heartbreaker the next attempt in Jan turned out to be successful
We then applied in Feb to Western Australia who had included Recruitment Consultant on the state sponsored list. we applied mid Feb and got the sponsorship end of Feb 2012.
We applied on 13th March and got a CO on 3rd April. PCCs caused us a bit of a problem but we got it and uploaded it on 12th April.
And today we got the grant!
We plan to travel end June to Perth.
