My wife was offered a job by one of the Hospitals in Adelaide but we had to wait for 6 months :juggle:for her to get Nurse registration with the South Australia nursing board,,When the registration came through on the 17 th of September 2009 the hospital put in for her nomination which came 4 days later ..

We then immediately applied for an online 457 longstay visa on the 22nd of September
------ medicals on the 25th of september
-------all supporting documents scanned and attached to the application on the 29 of september :ranger:
--------Case Officer assigned 1st of october 2009
-------Medicals cleared 6th of october 2009
------- visa granted 8th of october 2009
------9th of october , went to the OZ embassy to get the visas stamped on the passports

Due to leave the UK on the 6th of November 2009:plane::plane: ,,we are so excited ,,thanks to everybody who has shared their expirience on this forum as these make it that much easier and are a good information base for anybody migrating to OZ :clap2:

Thanks everyone

The best way is to go through an agency who will arrange for a phone interview with your would be employer.it takes About a week to register and reference checks etc, the agency that we went through is cAlled healthstaff recruitment, they are really good and are quite helpful. You can google them and get their contact details and send them your latest CV.

Hope this will help to get you started.they will give you
most of the info on what you may need to know.a lady called rebecca holloway is a really good consultant with the agency and she deals with UK applicants.all the best and goodluck
