Today I got grant letter from DIAC.

I am still speech less and this is yet to sink in.

This is a wonderful forum. My waiting would have been worse with out this forum. Special thanks to all the moderators.

My timelines are as below.

Lodged : 4th Feb 2009
CO allocated : 21st July 2009
PCC submitted: 12th Oct 2009
Visa granted: 12th Oct 2009

Does some one have any experience in sending the passports to Delhi embassy for labelling ? I am planning to send it VFS global. It would be great if some one can suggest the fee and other particulars.

The worst part of the whole process is PCC. I wish I do not have to deal with India RPO again.

VFS is good, just send the grant letter along with the pp and it would be done, if u have any confusion call the embassy in Delhi, they will suggest what should be done.

I am s/w engineer with oracle specialisation. I am actually planning to apply jobs online from India. Depending on the response on those and dead line given by DIAC, I am going to make first entry with the family. If I have interviews lined up when I make my first entry, nothing like it. If not, after I make my first entry with family, come back India, quit job, leave my family in India, fly oz to seriously look for jobs.

Anyway as Christmas is arriving I do not think this will be the right time for the jobs. I am hoping that only after Jan, budgets will be allocated to projects and jobs will start appearing.

Please let me know if any one has any suggestions or experience in this regards.

Dear I also want to get PR please give me an advice.

I am from Pakistan. I am a Software Engineer(dot net Professional). Have Completed 16 Years of education with 4 years Bechelors of Computer and IT. I also have more then 4+ years of practical experience as a software engineer in an organization. I have acquired this experience during my whole 4 years graduation period and I used to work in organization along with my graduation studies like in morning I went to university and from afternoon to onwards(evening shift) I was doing my job.

My question is will ACS(Australian Computer Society) approves my experience for my skill assessment provided that it is more then 40 hours/ week as per their requirements?

Also may I know who will assess the experience requirement for getting MODL points and at which stage? Is it ACS or some one else.

My skill list is in MODL as well as in Critical List.

Please give me update.

Thanks..

Congrats mate. It looks like only Saifabad ghost was standing between you and your visa. I would advise everyone in India to get your PCC 6 months in advance.. Because this is most painful thing of all...

If not, after I make my first entry with family, come back India, quit job, leave my family in India, fly oz to seriously look for jobs.
Why not resign and then both of you go for validation. Your family may come back and you can stay there and look for jobs. That way you'll save a lot of fare!!!
