I am from India and my skill (Software or SaaS sales ) is into CSOL list and my assessment authority is "VETASSESS". I am an EMBA from distance learning and having 4+ years Exp in said skill set.

I am planing to Migrate to Australia and have some point to get help on:

which visa I should apply (189 or 190), I thing 190 would work as I comes in CSOL list.
Which IELTS I should go for, General or Academics.
Should I go for assessment first or IELTS. Please suggest step wise plan.
Once, I get the visa how much money I should show them to get settled there.

I keen to move forward asap but need help on this.

I am new on this forum please help me from your experience.

So far, I have search on google or Australia Immigration website and found this info. Rest i thought to put here to get better understanding.

Thanks a lot in advance to Help!

Since your occupation is only on CSOL, it would be 190 visa for you.
Head over to https://www.anzscosearch.com/ and find out which states are sponsoring your occupation. Then browse the state website to understand their terms and conditions to apply. All states have different conditions. Some require a job offer, some require a minimum of 7+ in the IELTS (or equivalent) while some might require proof of having financial assets.

IELTS = General for immigration. Unless your sponsoring state specifically is asking for Academic.

Assessment or IELTS - no such specific order.

How much money to show = depends on if (and how much) your sponsoring state requires you to have.

Browse this forum. There are a lot of useful threads here. I always recommend these 2 to those who are starting out: http://www.expatforum.com/expats/platypus-den/469793-my-journey-australia-google-page-ranking.html and http://www.expatforum.com/expats/au...ian-skilled-independent-189-visa-my-view.html

Arun,

I am not sure about the SA process. You will have to study their nomination/ sponsorship website and find it out yourself.

As for costs for the entire process-
- I am not sure about SA state sponsorship fees. You should be able to find that out from their website.
- Visa price itself can be calculated here: https://www.border.gov.au/Trav/Visa/Visa-1
- Medical tests for everyone included in the application which costs between 3200 to 3800 INR per adult and around 1800 to 2000 INR in India.
- Indian PCC for every adult applicant which costs 500 INR per PCC.
- PCC from any other country where you (or anyone else included in your application) have stayed for more than 12 months since they turned 16, and the process and costs for these PCC's vary for each country.
