Hi all! I'm going through my skills assessment and unfortunately, my degree isn't highly relevant to my occupation and thus, I will need to fulfill the requirement of having worked 3 years in my field in the past 5 years. Alas, I took two years off from work, so I literally only have 3 years and 1 month of work in the past 5 years. It's making me quite nervous...but it's more than 3 years so it'll be fine, right?

Also, I pretty much only have that much experience in this occupation. This means I'd just be able to be deemed "skilled," but I wouldn't have any experience after the "Date Deemed Skilled" since they'd deduct the three years, correct? It doesn't matter to me since the visa I'm applying for isn't currently using points, but just curious. Thanks!

You are saying your degree isn't relevant to occupation and once you fulfill 3 years of work, you will not get any experience assessment. That 3 years would not be included and the outcome will be anything above 3 years.
