hi guys im trying to fill out the vaf-5 form. does anyone have an idea of what an EEA National’s National Insurance Number? where can i get it?

You haven't worked in UK so you don't have it. Just leave it blank.

how about on the question "8.4.2 What is the EEA National’s present work or job or
occupation?" would it still be safe to just put unemployed?

thanks so much. just to be sure, i just want clarify that if i leave it blank it wont affect be grounds for the eea family permit to be denied, right?

Correct. It will have no effect on your application. You can only apply for/receive a NI number once you are resident in the UK.
