UK Visitor Visa for Cabin Crew

Hi everyone,

Just a quick question which somebody may be able to help with.

Me and my partner will be visiting the UK in October. I am a British citizen, she is Filipino. However, she works as a flight attendant in Qatar. She regularly flies around the world, including the UK on her flights, but for our visit she would need a visa. Can anyone recommend what documents she should submit with her applications? Would she need anything from me? She earns a very healthy salary, and therefore money wouldn't be a problem. So she will be submitting her bank statements. But we're just not sure which other documents she needs to submit.

Thanks,
Andy

Thanks. I'm assuming from this then she doesn't require anything at all from me. Simply her own bank statements and employment details.

If she is paying for her trip and stay, yes.
If she is paying for her trip and stay, yes.
She'll be paying for herself, but we'll be staying with my parents while we're there.
Then a letter of invitation from your parents should be attached, plus proof of ownership such as Land Registry document (£3 online).
Also- word of advice, when filling the application, there will be questions around purpose of the trip and asking her if she knows anyone in the UK.

Make sure that your girlfriend mentions you and is clear in her application, stating that she is in a relationship with you.

This is because, down the line, if you choose to marry and settle in UK, spouse visa applications will not take it lightly if you then claim to have always been in a relationship but did not adequately disclose it in your earlier visit visa application.

Hope this makes sense. I have done many UK visit visa applications so if you have any specific queries in relation to the application, do ask.

All the best.
Thanks for the replies everyone.

So, I understand that she'll need to inform them we're together, that's fine. However, would it be fine for her to claim she'll be staying in a hotel. The UK visas website(link further up the page) clearly states, in section 4, do not send copies of hotel reservations. I dare say we'll be staying hotels along the way anyway, so it's not a lie. Just seems this will be a much easier solution as I also live and work in Asia and it's going to be next to impossible to have the documents posted to here and then passed on to my partner before she applies.
