Hallo to everybody out there,
there's one thing which is puzzling me about procedures for applying for UK visa. The thing is that (as they say on UK home office and worldbridge web site) they will keep my passport until they make decision about my visa application. HOWEVER, if they keep my passport I can't travel even inside of Egypt and I'm living and working in Sharm. Does anybody know the solution for this problem. Are they are giving you some kind of certificate or document whit which I can board the flight back to Sharm or pass 17 million check points if I decide to travel by car.
I would be grateful for any insight about this issue

Just checked UKBA Egypt page and they offer no facility for submitting alternative ID other than your passport. Do you have national ID card or driving licence that can be used at security check points? Can you get second passport?
