I've been outside of US for many years, and file yearly the foreign exclusion for bona fide resident outside USA.

However this year, I did a little consulting and earned 5000 GBP in 2009. I'd never earned income sourced from another country, and I know there is no double taxation due to treaty.

I've already filed my 2009 taxes in the USA as bona fide with foreign exclusion for all my worldwide income, including the 5000 GBP.

What do I have to do for UK as for 2009 I lived entirely here under a spouse visa.

In advance for any information.

if you have residency you will be entitled to a personal allowance and as long as you do not exceed that you will not be paying any taxes. or visit the local tax office they are quite helpful
