Hello,

My fiance will shortly be submitting her UK Fiance / settlement visa application to the UK border Agency in Canada, and we have a question that we hope someone else has experienced or knowledge of that can help us please.....

Although generally all supporting documents submitted should be originals with a photocopy attached, where do you stand with personal photographs and birthday cards / valentines cards etc.. - are we expected to photocopy personal photographs and birthday cards OR will these sensitive documents be returned anyway ??? can anyone help ?

The other question is when submitting quite a lot of supporting documents which are heavy and will cost money to post - do we have to pay the return postage of heavyish documents or will the UKBA pay for that ?

Any help appreciated

See attached from the UKBA website:

They may or may not return something if no photocopy is provided and depending on how you submit your application, you are responsible for paying an additional fee to have your documents returned to you.
